To Congress on the Success and Opportunity through Quality Charter Schools Act
First Focus Campaign for Children sent this letter to all offices in the House of Representatives on May 8th, 2014, in advance of floor consideration of the Success and Opportunity through Quality Charter Schools Act (H.R.10). While we are encouraged to see the bipartisan work in the House of Representatives on behalf of children, this bill can be greatly improved to improve educational outcomes for children. The letter includes a list of amendments that FFCC urges members to support, including amendments to improve financial oversight and reduce fraud, to remove barriers to entry, and to increase transparency for students, parents, and families.
